We went on the Saturday this year and despite the forecast the weather was fine and dry which made both the journey and setting up camp enjoyable. We were amazed at the numbers turing up on the Saturday and concluded this is much preferable to being rushed with only one nights stay. We took Vanessa the Imperial so there was acres of room to carry the large tent and all the camping gear.
Apart from Vanessa, it was an all Birkin camping line up as for one reason or another many of the regular ShACC contingent were unable to go. However, the barbecue and evening get together were as entertaining as usual, although the conversation subjects were perhaps biased to a particular car.
