The most amazing thing about this show was that
it was warm and sunny! Stoneleigh has a reputation for
being cold, wet and windy and sometimes frosty and snowy and it has
been many years since we enjoyed such lovely weather.
The ShACC pitch was indeed alternative, with a super collection of interesting cars including:
3 Birkins
3 Tempests and a Vantique
2 MEVs
4 Bertinis
Arfon Hughes and his student Leanne with the almost completed trailored Haynes - read their story later.
plus Felicity the ridiculous Skoda Felicia Fun!
Sadly John Helliwell was unwell and missed the first Stoneleigh for yonks, and Gwyn Newitt was on grandchild duty.
We
had loads of interest in all the cars and there was a constant stream
of visitors from ShACC Members, Doug McCusker and Eric Corbet who had
parked with the North West Kit Car Club - see more of them next week at
the Ironworks, Sally & Gavin Jones (Eagle SS), Pete Jackson
(Triumph GT 6) and Heather Lomond & Paul who had to leave
their cars at home.
