Difficult to believe, but the weather was
even worses
than last year with widespread floods. So disappointing, particularly
after having had to cancel the ShACC run to Portmeirion. Despite it
raining all day, 14 of us gathered in jolly mood for dinner at the pub,
some rather surprised that the roads were passable. The rain eventually
eased off and Chris and Bill Cole actually went home with the roof down.
The river at the Royal Hill was remarkably low while we were there but
apparently it was covering the road a day or two later. The picture is
actually the Perry in our garden but gives the idea.
