After some scary snow on Boxing day and a very wet start to the morning, the weather turned out better than we feared. Dennis and Stephanie Duggan were the only people to brave it in a open car (with hood up) although it has to be said that the intrepid Emlyn and Wendy missed the event due to a dreaded lurgy. Only Guy's veteran Land Rover followed the complete route to the Lowfield Inn because of fear of snow on high ground, but we ended up with 26 people for lunch.
The pub had got us to pre-prder this year
but it
probably caused more confusion and delay than ordering on arrival.
However, as usual, the food was very good. A special event this year
was the presentation of the President's trophy to Jack Bailey who
becomes our first honorary president.
