It may have been cold but it was dry and
there was a good turnout. As usual, some went on the run but did not
stay for lunch, some lunched but skipped the run and others did both.
There were about 15 cars on the run and some 30 people for lunch. Among
the relatively few open cars it was good to see Malcolm Fazakerley in
his Panther Lima (sorry you were half out of the picture). Mark Jones
made it the first motorbike to come on a run and Hugo Brown's Jaguar XJ
had come all the way from London. You would not expect the most popular
marque to be Reliant but 2 Scimitars and a Tempest headed the list.
We now have an established route through Ellesmere and Wem which most
people got about 90% right and it made a very pleasant drive
taking just over the hour. The Pigeons as usual provided
excellent food and service and it can be said that a good time was had
by all.
