After having the Open Evening at Whittington Castle for several years, we thought a change of scenery was due. Clive Knowles of the British Ironworks Centre is always open to new ideas and new events and was happy to host our annual event. However, we did have to negotiate over times and refreshments. As a result, we moved the time to from 5.30 to 8.30 but the cafe was open for sandwiches, cake and drinks.
We
were blessed with a lovely evening but there was a disappointing modest
turnout. However, were glad to welcome a group of se7ens from the
NorthWest Kit car show for the first time. Clive kindly
judged the cars for best kit and best classic and also donated bottles
of wine to go with the ShACC winners mugs.
